“D’vorah brought a painting to my room at the rehab facility when I was flat on my back and in a significant amount of pain. The only view I had out my window was the sky, it seemed as stark and empty as my life at that time. When she put the painting in the window, my initial reaction was “how thoughtful”, but I did not realize how much it would come to matter to me. Then the natural light from outside made the colors glow. I found myself staring at that light and color. I found myself suffering through physical therapy and un- relenting pain knowing I could go back to my room to see the colors. There was no doubt it was an aide to both my physical and mental healing. I could not let it go, when I left the hospital I contacted D’vorah and asked if I could keep it for a while. Six months later I returned it, I hope it has the opportunity to help others.”

" We were blessed to have D'vorah Horn's artwork displayed at our facility for a few months. The paintings quickly captured the attention of the residents. They were commenting on how beautiful they were and how they brightened up the rooms especially on sunny days. The paintings also sparked conversation among the residents debating what the paintings were of and discussing the colors. Several family members enjoyed the artwork as well. Some of the paintings were placed in rooms of residents who are terminally ill and the families were so grateful for something so beautiful and bright in their rooms." "So beautiful!!   Such a positive, uplifting mood, and such a wonderful way to use your talent in assisting in the healing of others.  It must be heartwarming to know your paintings have put smiles on the faces of those in pain, and filled their days with beauty.  What an amazing mission you've discovered for yourself!  I feel sorry for the homes or hospitals, etc., that have to lose your paintings as they journey elsewhere. The glow of the sun onto those paintings and their reflections onto other surfaces reminds me of the awe heard and seen in children's faces as they see the rainbow through a crystal hanging in the window.  Isn't it amazing how art contributes
to such a mood change? "
